Affiliate disclosure

What this is

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We use the commissions to keep the site free, ad-light, and growing.

Programs we participate in

We are currently active in Amazon Associates (tag: reefden20-20), earning commissions on qualifying purchases.

We have applied to or are in onboarding for additional programs including Bulk Reef Supply (via Impact Radius), and we link to direct-from-manufacturer captive-bred livestock retailers including ORA Farm, The Biota Group, Seahorse Savvy, and Reef Breeders. Some of these are not yet paying affiliate partnerships — we link to them today because they're the right retailer for the species or product, and we'll add affiliate tracking when their programs are open to us.

Other programs may be added over time and will be disclosed here.

How affiliate links affect our editorial

They don't. We recommend equipment, livestock, and resources based on hands-on experience and the consensus of experienced hobbyists — not on which programs pay better. If a free or DIY option is the right answer, we recommend that.

How to identify affiliate links

All affiliate links route through a /recommends/ URL on our domain and carry the rel="sponsored" attribute, as required by the FTC and Google guidelines.

Amazon Associates notice

ReefDen is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
